GET OLD SCHOOL WITH THE THAAL IN ESCAPE TO THE PAST!
Ever since I found out that the displacer beast came from a Marvel Comic Cover (Worlds Unkown #5), I knew Gary'd be visiting the spinner rack at McCullough's Prescriptions and Gifts over in Walworth,WI(RiP)this year instead of the library.
Look out for the Easter Eggs, and enjoy The Thaal! A menace/point of interest for pre-1989 editions of the world's most popular role playing game and it's descendants.

How WotC gets away with ripping off A.E. van Vogt's couerl, I will never know. You can read the prose version of the story collected in a novel called Voyage of the SS Beagle if it is too hard to track down Unknown Worlds.
Fun fact, it was a big inspiration for Alien.
Anyway, I'mma check this out.
I of course love this! I have no idea how it will play, but I will try. I assume I'll take inspiration for a hook or two from the note scribbles and push my players into the cave. Maybe their character, too ;) - No chance to get any Easter eggs, though, as I am one of those Covid-late comers. But I will keep my eyes on the comments for spoilers :)
